I'm not a doctor and I can't make promises about what will work for you. I can, however, tell you about my experience with peppermint and how I replaced my bottle of ibuprofen! I've been making peppermint tea for years to ease nausea and/or help with colds come winter months. So nutritionally, I knew it's benefits. I never knew until just this year though, that it could help with headaches!
I casually mentioned my killer headache to my dear friend. She suggested: "Put some peppermint oil on the roof of your mouth!"
What? Peppermint oil on the roof of my mouth?? I'd never heard of such a thing, but obviously I'm down for a healthy alternative to ibuprofen which is TOXIC AF by the way. I was honestly SHOCKED to discover that it helped within minutes.
Will it work for you? I can't say. Everyone is different. In my experience, it's helped me almost every single time. Plus, every time I share this knowledge, I'm surprised to discover more people who already knew about this trick and use it faithfully as well! If using it internally is nerve wracking for you, you can always dilute it using a carrier oil (like almond or coconut) and apply it to your temples.
