Meet TaLisa!

A stay-at-home mom and licensed daycare provider. As a provider, I realize how difficult and important it is to find early childhood education for your little ones. Entrusting your child to someone else's care is one of the hardest things parents face. Knowing that your kiddo will be given an abundance of love, attention, and nurturing in an educational, clean, and safe environment can help make that transition a little easier on you heart.

Thank you so much for considering me with such an important role in your family's life! I hope this blog gives you a peek into my life and confirms for you my perspectives on positive parenting, so that you may know your child is being cared for just as I would care for my own!

With Love,

TaLisa

Meet My Family!

In This Little Home of Mine, you'll find the people that help me make this house a home -- my family! My husband works long hours at a job that requires hard labor, yet still finds time for gardening, bike rides, road trips, and working on all things around our home. My three children are avid adventurers, forever barefoot and often in a tree top, or scooping bugs into their "bug hotels". We are travel enthusiasts, making memories all over the United States, but also down for casual outdoor adventure that is as simple as going for long walks here in our small town.

As for me and how this all began -- I started my career being a "nurturer" as a Certified Nurses Aid in a local nursing home when I was just 15. I later pursued nursing school but as my family grew, my priorities in life were shifting. I was a newly "stay at home" mom who was learning the art of homemaking and stewardship. I realized that my calling might just be closer to home than I had originally thought.

I quickly turned my focus to creating a safe, healthy, and encouraging environment where my children would learn and grow alongside me. I dove into my own health & wellness where I studied nutrition, human development, and child development - in order to excel as the mom, I wanted to be. Together, we navigate "how to make our own food from scratch", "how to listen to our bodies cues" (physically, emotionally, mentally, and other), "what these things do to the anatomy of our body", etc. I was taking care of myself, but my children were every bit a part of my growth & development, as we learned together.

I am still very much in love with the things that my "wellness journey" has done for myself and for my family. The information I learned throughout my years as a wellness "guru" has come in handy and helped me bond with my children in undeniable ways. When COVID happened, I began to serve my beautiful family as both a homemaker AND a homeschool mom. I am now serving my wonderful husband and three beautiful children another way! Full time, from home, by offering that same safe environment for the children in other families to learn and grow at their own pace - as a childcare provider in This Little Home of Mine.

A part of my journey that I love sharing with all of you! I admit, my days are often exhausting. I am growing as a caregiver more and more each day. I learn SO MUCH about myself, meeting children where they are with patience & understanding, and how to live on an abundance of coffee & compassion! It is here, in this space, that I hope you are encouraged to discover your best version of what motherhood looks like for you! Whether it be finding a new recipe to try with your little ones, money saving tips, craft ideas, or motivation for falling in love with your wellness -- I am so glad that you are here!

Welcome to This Little Home of Mine.

All My Love,

TaLisa & Family
