Books For Your Beginner Reader!

These books are MY FAVORITE for helping your child learn to read! Each book in the series features a number in the upper corner, indicating the difficulty level for your child. Most of which also offer a few small quizzes at the end of each of these "Read With Usborne" books, to encourage your child to jog their memory about how the story went!

Here are a few of my personal favorites!

Before we proceed, I want to mention that I am an affiliate of Usborne Books & More. If you use my link, I will receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from my links. While Usborne Books & More provides the products used to complete this labor of love, and compensate me for my efforts, I supply the elbow grease! As always, each blog reflects my own point of view regardless of the affiliation, because I only write about things that I am truly passionate about! Thank You, for supporting my small business!

The tragic tale of Icarus, son of Daedalus, who was imprisoned by King Minos of Crete. His father built wings of wax & feathers for their escape, but Icarus flew too close to the Sun. This story was "Stage 3" , so for a more developed reader (perhaps 2nd or 3rd grade), but I enjoyed listening to my daughter read it.

"The Clever Rabbit" is eating happily in the woods when he has to save a lost sheep from being eaten by a hungry wolf. Will he out-wit the wolf? A fun bedtime story the made for interesting conversation at the end of the story!

Ant and Grasshopper can’t agree over how to spend the summer. Who will need the other when winter comes? This adorable story made for a great opportunity to mention why we should stay focused in order to reap the reward of our hard work! A great conversation starter for any little one who struggles with focus!

Dog has a big juicy bone! But it isn't enough...

Will dog learn to be grateful for what he has?

All the animals in the forest admire Bear's tail, and Fox is even jealous of Bear's tail! Bear, however, thinks it's a nuisance... How will Fox take care of the situation? Will Bear be upset or grateful for his new tail? This is a lively retelling of a Native American folk tale with bright pages and an adorable story line!

Long ago, elephants had short noses. A curious little elephant goes in search of answers to his question. This story tells how all of the elephant's noses became long, with the help of the crocodile!

These are a few of my favorite, but there are 50+ books in the series to choose from! :) What are you reading with your little ones today? Drop a comment and let me know!
